Job DetailsnnDivision: ((division_obj))nnLocation: ((filter4)) , ((filter3)) , ((filter2))nnOther Available Locations: ((mfield1))nnBasic Job Functions:nnThe role of the Refractory Technician consists of, but is not limited to, safely installing, maintaining, and managing inventory of all refractories and supporting equipment. This position will require working knowledge of Melt Shop operations and liquid steel flow control. The Refractory Technician will be responsible for the refractory installation and service of our ladle fleet, tundishes, chop gates, stopper rod systems, and assisting with EAF relines. This position will work closely with the Refractory Lead to coordinate and schedule daily tasks to meet the demands of our Melt Shop production schedule. This individual is also responsible for the continuous development of themselves and teammates working under their mentorship.nnAdditional responsibilities include: The ability to operate mobile equipment (overhead crane and forklift), restocking consumables, torch cutting, and keeping a clean and safe work environment.
