This involves the set-up and take-down of all on-site WSU Athletic events. You will be responsible for preparing facilities for competition and practices; including but not limited to the setup, installation and testing of PA systems, scoreboards, spectator seating, flags, banners, specialized event equipment, field markings, data lines, and more. You will assist other departments (event management, marketing, video, sports information) as needed with other events. With a role of leading and working alongside student workers, you will be required to work varied hours and days, such as nights and weekends. The occasional night and weekend work will be dependent on on-site WSU Athletics games and events. WSU Athletics peak seasons for home events are primarily fall and early spring.nnRequired Qualifications:nn• High school graduation or equivalent and two years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work; OR equivalent education/experience.nn• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.nn• Ability to work varied hours and days, including nights and weekends for WSU Athletic games and events dependent.nn• Experience in planning, directing, and carrying out single and multiple job tasks in a timely manner.nnPreferred Qualifications:nn• Experiencing testing PA systems and scoring systems for proper functioningnn• Experience using computer email programs such as Outlook, Gmail, or other similar product.nn• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with other units within the department.nn• Experience working with and leading students/temp-hourly employees.nnAdditional Information:nnArea/College: Athletics, IntercollegiatennDepartment Name: Event & Facility OperationsnnCity, State, Zip: Pullman, WA 99163nnDepartment Link: Salary: $4,410 to $5,117 | Range 44G Steps G-M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
