The Role:

We are on the hunt for a solar design engineer to join an engineering design company. This role is based in NJ and will work a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Worth with a Senior Engineer, actively participating in electrical systems design for PV projects
• Developing final construction documents from established concept designs or Design Development drawings.
• Heavy production load
• Design drafting of electrical construction documents using AutoCAD
• Electrical distribution design and single line preparation
• Voltage calculations and conductor / raceway sizing
• Detailed PV Syst calculations
• Utility coordination
• Code review
• Preparation of specifications

Essential Skills/Experience:

• 1-3 years of PV design experience
• AutoCAD and ETAP
• Electrical background
