As a Special Education Attorney, you will play a crucial role in supporting public school districts by advising on matters related to Special Education laws, policies, and regulations. You will handle Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, due process hearings, and other legal issues that impact students with disabilities. Your legal expertise will help ensure that education for these students is delivered in accordance with state and federal guidelines, contributing to the success and well-being of the community.
This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on Special Education law. You should have a strong understanding of public school districts and their legal responsibilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. A passion for education and the ability to navigate the complexities of Special Education.
