TITLE: WAFER MANUFACTURING QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: SR. DIRECTOR, WAFER MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Wafer Manufacturing, the Wafer Manufacturing Quality Control Manager to facilitate the transition of prototype products into the production environment, including managing and tracking overall wafer quality and yield improvement activities; analyzing backend performance feedback and quality control plans; and providing technical guidance on device integration and quality control processes. This position is located in Milpitas, California.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the department; makes employment-related decisions as necessary
- Manages and tracks processes and programs which support wafer quality, yield improvement, and device integration and optimization
- Manages and coordinates various process marginality experiments; analyzes results, and presents recommendations for process improvements
- Reviews and approves modifications to process flow or quality control for products currently in production
- Reviews and analyzes backend performance feedback and quality control plans; assists with conducting failure analysis as needed
- Collaborates with various cross functional teams such as QA, Product, and Process Development Engineering to review and discuss new or existing customer requirements and manufacturing or in-line process issues
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level*
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Five years of hands’ on experience working in integration/QC in a semiconductor environment
- Three years of experience in a management role
- Experience using MESA, JMP, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications

- Knowledge and ability to lead, sustain, and support QC and integration-related manufacturing processes and programs
- Knowledge of wafer manufacturing principles, processes, and equipment
- Knowledge of management principles, practices, and techniques
- Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations
- Knowledge and ability to use MESA, FabTime, SPC, or similar wafer tracking application to analyze data
- Knowledge and ability create reports, analyze data, and present findings
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of vendors, consultants, employees, and management

The annual base salary for this full-time position is between $128,698.00-$189,262.00 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The annual base pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Wafer Manufacturing Quality Control Manager and Integration works primarily in an office environment from Monday thru Friday. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Works in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, and/or gases during the course of work day; may be exposed to loud noise. Stands and walks, bends, and twists. Performs various fine grasping movements; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment; may occasionally be required to push, pull, or lift up to 30 pounds.
