Open to any BV office location.
No Per diem- Must reside within 50 miles of a BV office.
Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in and lead engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities.
This position will focus on:
Design and construction activities, including project delivery methods such as traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build
Designing HVAC and plumbing systems for primarily Hyperscale and Colocation Data Center design associated with administrative and support spaces
Supporting additional areas such as Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance, Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear, Pump Areas, Engine Generator, Blowers/Air Compressors, and Flammable & Combustible Liquids Storage
Conducting Data Center airflow CFD modelling for interior and exterior spaces
Conducting energy audit/efficiency studies, code review/application, and sustainable design/LEED application of sustainable strategies
Developing engineering skills while working on challenging projects
Required:
HVAC Design
CFD
Data Canters
Minimum 5 years’ experience
Basic knowledge of:
NFPA standards
Computer-generated HVAC cooling and heating loads and HVAC equipment sizing
HVAC system energy modelling for energy code
Green building initiatives such as LEED and Green Globes
Technical submittal reviewing process and bid reviewing process
Large-scale water and air-cooled chiller plant design preferred
International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes, ASHRAE Handbooks/Standards, ASPE design handbooks, and SMACNA Standards
Data Center airflow CFD modelling experience for internal and external evaluations
Cadence Reality Data Center Design (Formerly 6Sigma Room)
Certifications:
Professional Engineering (PE) License
AP certified professional experienced in obtaining LEED’s certification for industrial buildings.
