Position Summary
As a Production Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of work within our manufacturing operations. You will coordinate production schedules, manage inventory levels, and optimize resource allocation to meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive production schedules to maximize output while minimizing costs.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials and products.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, optimize processes, and make informed decisions.
- MRP Implementation: Implement and maintain a robust Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to streamline production planning and inventory control.
- Procurement: Place timely and accurate purchase orders to ensure the timely delivery of materials.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, customer service, accounting, engineering, and other departments, to address production-related issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with MRP systems (AS400 experience a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
