What you’ll do Reporting to the CFO & Treasurer, Canadian Tire Bank, this position plays a pivotal role in providing the necessary knowledge and insight into the financial health, performance and trajectory of the Financial Services business. The AVP, FP&A – Financial Services is an essential part of the Forecasting, Planning & Analysis group, providing ongoing leadership and thoughtful and data-driven analysis on the Bank’s current and expected performance and is a lead partner in executing against our multi-year strategic plan and roadmap. Your passion, curiosity, technical expertise and analytical skills are critical for success, as is your ability to communicate, collaborate and lead a team with multiple projects and deadlines.
Lead a team of individuals through the timely preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and monthly projections of the Financial Services business.
Lead the preparation of the monthly performance package and analysis and present to internal stakeholders the financial results and key performance measures of the Bank, highlighting significant variances in performance year-over-year and versus budget/forecast, while providing actionable insights and thorough analysis.
Ensure delivery of accurate and timely reports and analysis to Management and the Canadian Tire Bank and Canadian Tire Financial Services Board.
Lead the development of the cost benefit analysis for both strategic initiatives and annual project initiatives undertaken by Financial Services and support the enterprise project agenda with impacts on Financial Services business.
Directly support the Call Centre Operations team providing financial and data-driven insights into overall performance, operational efficiencies, challenges and opportunities.
Gain a deep understanding of the Financial Services business and develop productive working relationships with internal stakeholders (Credit Risk, Product Growth & Acquisition, Call Centre Operations, Legal, Digital, Enterprise Risk, HR, IT, Treasury, Accounting, Tax, CTC Corporate Planning and CTC Finance, Investor Relations and Internal Audit).
Responsible for optimizing the organizational design and processes within the department, as well as the hiring, motivating and development of team members.
What you bring 15+ years progressive experience in Finance with at least 5 years as a People Manager, some of which, held at a Jr. Executive (Director, AVP) level.
Experience in the financial services industry.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

University Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting & a Financial designation (CPA, CFA).
