Job Description:
Reporting to the AVP, Open Banking, the Senior Product Manager, Open Banking will be accountable for supporting the delivery of products in support of the US Open Banking 1033 Regulation. You will work closely with stakeholders in the United States, both internal and external to TD, to act as the 'voice' of Open Banking. This is a dynamic role and TD is seeking an experienced product manager who has worked within large programs with robust governance and has defined, tested and delivered a 3rd party solution within tight timelines, managing stakeholders at all levels.

You will interface with a variety of stakeholders and work on a highly visible mandate with enterprise-wide impact. The successful candidate’s accountabilities and responsibilities will include:
Being responsible for formulating strategy, policy, and overall direction of the identified product.
Solving a unique and ambiguous problem for the bank that will have broad impact (new product, new segment); this will also include overseeing standards, controls, and operating methods that have significant financial and operational impact on the bank.
Develop and maintain a robust understanding of the regulatory requirements, market, and industry to deliver products.
Develop and implement products/policies and procedures in such a way that it enhances the end-to-end user experience while achieving business objectives.
Oversee and ensure the clear and effective delivery of products and services.
Act as Subject Matter Expert for product-related inquiries.
Lead and facilitate problem-solving sessions with partners and vendors.
Design end-to-end processes for development, implementation, use, reporting, and feedback on developed products and segments.
Participate in the day-to-day management of the product(s), identifying and implementing product features and enhancements, providing business case support of recommendations and assisting in the strategic development of new initiatives.
Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/points of interest.
Provide thought leadership and/or industry knowledge for own area of expertise and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit.
Define end-to-end day 2 operations including but not limited to incident management, potential fraud, privacy, and security risks processes.
Socialize and align on project milestones, blockers, dependencies, etc. by working closely with internal and external partners.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate would have experience delivering new products, managing vendor relationships, and operationalizing processes to ensure the successful ongoing management of the product:
Entrepreneurial and Critical Thinking - Naturally curious and can bring external thinking and ideas to identify opportunities. Ability to strategize by identifying problem statements and articulating potential solutions, recommendations, and a path forward backed by clear rationale.
Technology fluency and Delivery skills – Proven track record of understanding emerging technology trends or disruptions and delivering or managing complex technology platform or application development programs, products, or projects.
Industry Knowledge - Diverse interests and knowledge across various businesses within financial services and ability to dive deep and create a succinct point of view on a chosen topic.
Communication - Strong verbal and written communication skills; experienced in engaging and influencing senior executives.
Interpersonal skills – Track record of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Recognized as a strategic thinker with significant in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas, preferably open banking and open finance.
Generally accountable for a significant product management area that typically has enterprise-wide impact or accountability.
Enterprise or functional expert, requiring broad managerial and deep specialized knowledge at the enterprise, business, regulatory and industry levels.
Senior specialist providing advisory services to executives, business segment leaders and governs the requirements for own work.
Solve unique and ambiguous problems with broad impact; typically oversees standards, controls and operating methods that have significant financial and operational impact within the context of their own field.
Experience in Open Banking, Open Finance, Payments or related fields strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements:
10+ years relevant experience.
Previous Product experience required .
Experience in leading strategy strongly recommended.
Accountable for major functional areas with mass or niche products/segment suite and high levels of complexity and attributes.
Accountable for a significant product management area that typically has enterprise-wide impact or accountability.
Enterprise or functional expert, requiring broad managerial and deep specialized knowledge at the enterprise, business, regulatory and industry levels.
Senior specialist providing advisory services to executives, business segment leaders and governs the requirements for own work.
May lead on product programs and projects on behalf of the business.
Ability to establish goals and objectives that support the strategic plan; skill in mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
