Job Description

Audit production flow process to ensure the issuing of products, through the scanning process is properly followed from beginning to the end of a production run.Review, investigate issues, and close work orders.Prepare accurate, timely documentation and transactions that follow established protocols for receipt, inspection, inventory control, issuance, and consumption in support of manufacturing. Support all manufacturing activities as requested including transport of materials, WIP and FG product between Alphia locations.Inventory control participant.
•Review and close work orders from production runs from previous shift
•Review and close work orders in current shift product runs, when applicable
•Manage and work through work order review report.
oInvestigate and identify variances.
oFollow-up with appropriate staff to ensure compliance with issuance process.
oCloser in the issuance process
oGrade participants
oProvide coaching feedback to employees of inconsistencies in process for further follow-up and accountability for key roles in the scanning and issuing process.Follow-up with management of reoccurring issues
•Collaborate with accounting to answer questions.
•Train new employees of production flow process
•Verify accuracy of packaging and of raw ingredients and supplies, beginning and restocked from manufacturing and packaging to validate that cycle count are completed.
•Develop continual process improvement for production process flows.
•Operate hand-held scanner & computerized inventory system for advanced inventory transactions.
•Safely operate forklift (Must obtain Alphia certification) with accuracy and efficiency.
•Knowledge and proficiency in Alphia Business Systems as applies to Position.
•Required to notify a supervisor or a lead employee of any situation or observation that may adversely affect food safety and/or quality.
•Other duties as directed or assigned.

•Education level: high school diploma and/or GED required.
•Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment in a lead role is desired
•Proficient user of Alphia business systems required.
•Tenacity and curiosity to investigate and solve issues.
•Process improvement ambassador
•Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
•Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form in a congenial manner.
•Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.
•Basic math skills to include addition and subtraction.
•Ability to multi-task.

The employee may be frequently exposed to allergens and/or airborne particles in the production area.Production employees are exposed to temperatures ranging from 50 to 115 degrees, depending on the season and workstation, and may be working near moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions may occur.
The noise level in the work environment may be loud while production equipment is running.
Personal Protection Equipment (including, but not limited to, boots, gloves, safety glasses, and/or face shields) is required during various processes in the production area. Ear plugs and bump caps are required at all times in the production area.
