We are searching for a talented Nursing Assistant (CNA)

*$1,200 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours: 32hrs

Shift: Night Shift, 11:00pm - 7:00am, weekend and holiday rotation

Location: Bullard PCU - St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

    PCU is a 36-bed Intermediate Care, Telemetry unit. The goal of the unit is to provide high quality care delivered by skilled clinicians knowledgeable in the care of the cardiac patient. Each patient receives treatment and excellent care by registered nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The focus of care in this unit varies, including patients with acute pulmonary, medical, surgical and cardiac conditions. Maintaining expertise and quality care in this diverse population of patients is the mission of the Progressive Care Unit. Our team consists of professionals from varied disciplines who add support whenever needed in the area of nutrition, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation and care coordination.

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of individually assigned Manager, Patient Care Services or designee, perform a variety of duties including basic care, personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, maintain patient environment, and provide assistance to licensed staff in carrying out other related duties, etc.

Qualifications
  • Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
  • Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Training Program is preferred.
  • Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the equivalent is required.
  • Current CPR Certification is required.
  • Three (3) months experience in an acute care or long term setting is preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay Range
USD $19.00 - USD $25.50 /Hr.
Rotation Schedule Requirement
Every Other Weekend and Holiday
