JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the CLMB Board of Directors, the Executive Director is the key representative of CLMB who will assist the Board in achieving CLMB’s strategic objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Support CLMB in strategic efforts to strengthen relationships and collaboration with other organizations.
Develop and manage a plan for achievement of CLMB strategic initiatives.
Serve as the point person for CLMB, representing the organization locally and nationally, including serving as CLMB’s Liaison with Inclusion Canada.
Promote self-advocacy and supported decision-making toward independence for people with intellectual disabilities.
Respond to general inquiries and advocacy requests from community members, including people with lived experience with intellectual disability.
Seek out funding opportunities for CLMB and its strategic priorities, and develop funding proposals.
Establish and maintain open lines of communication with various stakeholders including families, healthcare professionals, community services/programs, government representatives, and people with lived experience with intellectual disability.
Manage communication with the public, including CLMB’s website and social media, and flow of telephone, email, and mail contacts/traffic.
General administrative duties, including maintaining the office, mail and phone management, and supervising administrative staff.
Participate in and support Board meetings.
Provide regular reporting on operations and key indicators to the Board of Directors.
Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Knowledge and experience with advocacy, self-advocacy and government relations.
Experience in leading strategic projects.
Ability to work collaboratively and with diverse teams.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a small team.
Experience with modern technology and proficiency with MS Office.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills that are welcoming and compassionate.
Able and willing to travel, and to flex hours of work, occasionally.
Post-secondary education/training in a relevant field will be considered an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,240.00-$62,400.00 per year
