As a Ripening Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest standards, from ripeness to readiness for delivery! This position is ideal for someone with a knack for quality control, a sharp eye for detail, and the drive to keep things running smoothly in our bustling Distribution Center.

What You’ll Do:

• Forecasting: Develop predictive models to keep our ripening schedules on point, so our customers get the best-quality product.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the entire ripening cycle, ensuring peak freshness and extending shelf-life to meet customer needs.
• Inbound Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections to confirm incoming product meets our quality standards.
• Collaborate with DC Team: Communicate directly with customers and Distribution Center teams, adjusting operations as needed to meet demand.
• Preventive Maintenance: Keep everything running smoothly by implementing routine maintenance and sanitation schedules for equipment and ripening rooms.
• Customer Satisfaction: Track customer feedback and take action to improve our operations!

What You Bring to the Table:

• Expert Knowledge: You know bananas—literally! Experience with banana ripening, quality, and supply chain processes is a must.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to forecast, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, as you’ll be working closely with various teams and customers.
• Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft tools, plus knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is a big plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Comfortable with physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet for extended periods.
• Certified or willing to get certified on Material Handling Equipment (e.g., Electric Pallet Jack, Sit Down Forklift, Reach Forklift).
