Job Description:

As a Banquet Sous Chef , you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our large-scale events and banquets. You will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all aspects of banquet preparation, food production, and kitchen management. This role requires leadership, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, preparing, and executing high-quality banquet menus for large-scale events
  • Manage and lead kitchen staff during banquet service, ensuring proper timing and presentation
  • Supervise food preparation, ensuring consistency, taste, and adherence to quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving of kitchen supplies
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and event coordinators to ensure smooth event operations
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
  • Monitor kitchen equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef, preferably in a banquet or large-event setting
  • Strong knowledge of banquet operations and high-volume cooking techniques
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
