Certification Details AHA BLS Current active compact license AHA ACLS NIHSS Job Details Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical DEGAHN-22076, Deaconess Gateway Hospital, Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Neuro Surgical MS RN - Nights - Deaconess Gateway AUTO OFFER Job Requirements Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class) Patient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, post-op cranis, cerebral angiogram Skillset: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessements, basic tele interpretation, strict I’s & O’s/straight cath/Foleys, intitate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain managemen, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills Schedule Information Contract Length: 13 weeks Start: 12/2 or 12/16 - Bi-weekly orientation Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request) Primary location: Gateway Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7 Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus.
