Responsibilities include assisting passengers to and from different airport locations, handling wheelchair equipment with care, and prioritizing passenger safety. The role requires strong communication skills and a dedication to providing exceptional customer service to individuals with diverse needs.nnWHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A WHEELCHAIR ATTENDANTnnSafely and comfortably assist passengers requiring mobility support in transferring to and from an aircraft seat using appropriate devicesnnPush wheelchair passengers to and from airport gatesnnAssist passengers with handling checked, carry-on, and claimed luggagennSafely guide passengers in wheelchairs down the jet bridgennEnsure the proper placement of wheel brakes before passengers exit the wheelchairnnComplete necessary reports regarding wheelchairs or incidentsnnAdhere to dispatcher gate ordersnnAddress passengers' questions or concerns with prompt and helpful assistancennDemonstrate consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job locationnnExceed customer service and safety standards set by PrimeFlightnnPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementnnQUALIFICATIONSnn18 years of age or oldernnEligible to work in the United StatesnnAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documentsnnAbility to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesnnEffectively communicate both in-person and through electronic meansnnEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs)nnAbility to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operationnnPHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:nnAbility to lift up to 70 poundsnnProlonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicablennMust be able to push, pullnnMust be able to bend, stretch, squatnnExposure to moderate and at times high noise levelsnnBe able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarmsnnTasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingersnnSpecific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)nnAirlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
