Maintenance SpecialistnnJob DetailsnnJob LocationnnPembroke Pines - 1633 Poinciana Drive - Pembroke Pines, FLnnPosition TypennFull TimennEducation LevelnnHigh SchoolnnSalary Rangenn$16.00 - $16.00 HourlynnJob CategorynnFacilitiesnnDescriptionnnSummary: Responsible for the general upkeep of the Village South/WestCare facilities including all minor repairselectrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs, grounds, etc.nnIllustrative Duties and Performance Responsibilities:nnThe duties of the maintenance specialist position include the following, as well as performance of other work related duties as assigned:nnResponsibility for general upkeep of facilities including all minor repairs.nnPerform minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs.nnPerform general painting job dutiesnnMaintain heating and air conditioning units to the best of his/her ability.nnCommunicate with the Maintenance Coordinator as to all minor and major repair needs of the facilities.nnCare for and maintain all equipment purchased by the agency to be used by the Maintenance Department.nnQualificationsnnMinimum Qualifications:nnEducation: Minimum of High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)nnExperience:nnA minimum of six months related general maintenance experience with appropriate skills necessary to perform electrical, plumbing and carpentry work, ability to paint, care for grounds and perform other related maintenance tasks.nnPhysical DemandsnnMust be able to bend and stoop.nnRegularly required to use hands to finger, handle or manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.nnThe employee frequently is required to walk.nnThe employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and to talk or hear.nnMust frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.nnSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.nnDuring your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with.
