Summary This position is located in Management Directorate, Front Office Ofc Of Human Capital and Training. As an Operations Support Specialist, you will have a variety of administrative specialty areas. Develops, implements, interprets, and advises on administrative requirements. Conducts briefings on special projects and sensitive administrative programmatic issues to include asset property management. Responsibilities Serves as a liaison and consultative link with headquarters program offices through official roles designated by the Office of Human Capital and Training and Management Directorate. The incumbent will manage the day-to-day operations of the receiving of all equipment and property shipments to HCT HQ as well as manage the assigning and delivery of the equipment received within HCT to the various satellite offices. Conducts research on assigned administrative projects to gather, analyze, and evaluate relevant data and flows of work, develop and evaluate new methods and options to improve work organization, make recommendations, and prepare comprehensive reports Coordinates issues relating to USCIS facilities and HCTs satellite offices. Provides tracking of projects for building modifications, repairs and alterations. Supports human resource functions of HCT offices, divisions, and employees. Specific functions include but are not limited to the provision, tracking, and troubleshooting of division staffing, and event coordination and planning. Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee serving overseas. Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year. Qualifications The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 11/01/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 11/01/2024. GS-12: You qualify at the GS-12 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Applying policies, precedents, regulations, and guidelines of one or more assigned functions areas such as asset management, personnel management, facilities management, training, and similar administrative programs. Reinforcing Property and Logistics Management regulations, directives, policies and procedures for accountability, tracking, receipt, distribution and reporting of accountable property. Communicating, both written and orally, to create and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports and recommendations to management. Employing applications, databases, and systems such as: Microsoft, ECN, and Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS) to support inventory control accountability. Maintaining effective working relationships with both internal and external customers to serve as point of contact for operational support.
