Job Description:
Must perform a comprehensive evaluation of each patient to determine their specific functional limitations, pain, range of motion, and other factors that may affect their ability to move or perform daily activities.
PT develops a treatment plan that includes specific goals and interventions to address the patient's needs. The plan should be tailored to the patient's individual goals, medical history, and lifestyle.
Uses a variety of interventions, such as exercises, manual therapy, modalities (e.g. heat, cold, electricity), and education to help patients achieve their goals.
Regularly evaluate the patient's progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed. They may also use outcome measures to objectively measure progress.
Educate patients and their caregivers about their condition, treatment plan, and self-management strategies.
Works closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
Must maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care, including evaluation findings, treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes.
Qualifications:
Up to a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
A license to practice in Texas
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
The ability to analyze movement patterns and develop appropriate treatment plans.
