Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for proposing and implementing technological improvements to streamline and automate manufacturing processes, increasing productivity while maintaining quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement manufacturing cells for part handling, assembly, testing, and finishing operations
- Program PLCs, industrial robots, and collaborative robots to support production and automation
- Develop and build assembly equipment, tools, and testing equipment
- Design mechanical and electrical systems to automate production and testing using 3D CAD
- Collaborate with manufacturing and automation teams to provide assembly and interface with robots and production machines
- Initiate and implement continuous improvement projects to reduce labor and manufacturing costs
- Troubleshoot and resolve product and production issues
- Interface with department managers to support daily and weekly production requirements
Requirements
- Minimum Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (BSME preferred)
- Certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (desired)
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and manufacturing cell layout
- Independent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite, 3D CAD)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, robotics, and automation
Nice to Have
- Lean 5S experience
- Experience with Vision Inspection
- Knowledge of ERP systems (DELMIAWorks preferred)
