Purpose:
The RN is responsible for delivering quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Taking complete, accurate messages from patients and relaying them to appropriate Provider.
• Schedules, coordinates and reschedules all patient appointments (includes office, outpatient procedures, hospitals, and other medical facilities);
• Utilizes nursing process effectively in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow-up/intervention.
• Documents assessment and interventions thoroughly and concisely.
• Develops patient education materials, triage protocols, and clinical guidelines in collaboration with physicians.
• Provides patient/staff education.
• Oversees LPN's and MA's.
• Performs specialty procedures as trained and as needed, as well as assisting M.D. with patients in office including: IV therapy, IV/Blood product infusions, Chemotherapy, Cardiac stress tests, wound care, injections.
• Monitor infection control requirements.
• Assure compliance with OSHA standards within Department.
• Respond to emergency situations as necessary.
• Maintains patient confidentiality while performing all duties
• Performs telephone triage as needed.

Other Duties:

• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required :

• North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• BLS/CPR Certification
