Overview

This is an excellent role for someone who dislikes routine and wants to keep their skills sharp. Your day-to-day nursing tasks will depend on the tailored needs of your patients. Some may need direct acute care; some may not. In addition to monitoring, you’ll also educate patients and their families on how to continue quality care once they’re at home. To thrive in this role, you need a wide range of nursing skills. You need to be upbeat, as our patients have a long road ahead of them and sometimes need a boost. Most importantly, you’ll advocate for their needs and wellbeing by ensuring they have the resources and support needed at discharge.
