We are seeking a dynamic and driven Associate Attorney specialized in DBA/Maritime Law to join our esteemed legal team. The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant, collaborative environment that encourages growth and innovation. This role involves providing legal advice and representation on a broad range of maritime issues, including but not limited to, the Defense Base Act (DBA) and other maritime-related litigation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, a passion for maritime law, and a commitment to providing excellent legal services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal counsel and representation on a wide array of maritime legal issues, including DBA and other maritime-related litigation.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to maritime operations and activities.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, or mediation proceedings as needed.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in maritime law and DBA to provide the most effective advice and representation.
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations, maintaining the highest level of professional and ethical conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney with a focus on maritime law and DBA.
  • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the ability to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience in litigation, preferably in maritime law and DBA.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand complex legal issues and provide clear, concise, and practical legal advice.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful dispute resolution.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent clients in court and other legal proceedings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software.
