The Duties & Responsibilities include • Coordinate, monitor and evaluate benefit services • Develop and maintain a directory of information for manage care providers. Keep case managers informed of any changes in benefits • Assist Case Managers in keeping accurate records meeting managed care requirements • Attend and participate in all required agency meetings: staff meetings, in-service training and weekly case review.nnThe Benefit Enrollment Specialist will work in Acacia Amanecer program site in the Bronx.nnPays: $50,000 per yearnnKEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:nnMust be familiarized with Managed Care providers to ensure proper processing of all required documents ie. Appendix A, LocadtrMaintainnnE-mail distribution dailynnEnsure that documents are submitted to Managed Care providers within the required timeline,nnWithin 24-48hrs from point of admissionnnEnsure Discharge/Con-Current review documentation are completed within a timely manner. Complete follow-ups call to ensure documents have been received/reviewednnMust confer with Medical Director when Doc to Doc review is being requested by manage care providers as well as CASAC managing the casennTrack Re-Admissions trends to avoid denial by manage care providersnnCommunicate all appeal request to Unit Clerk to ensure charts are submitted to our finance dept. for processing within appropriate timelinennAssist clients to resolve any problems and answer questions about their Manage Care benefits.nnEducate eligible partner staff and prospective clients about benefits and how to access those benefits.nnEnsure that all program outcomes are properly documented in an accurate and timely manner through program reporting systemsnnWork with leadership staff to use program performance data to drive improvements to the program design and implementationnnParticipate in all required trainings and meetings; maintain a strong and current expertise in public benefits eligibility, application and enrollment, as well as community resourcesnnPerform other duties as requirednnREQUIREMENTS: Experience and Special RequirementsnnHigh School diploma required; CASAC 2 and/or bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.nnRelevant experience with special need population facing strong barriers towards benefits.nnBilingual Spanish preferred. Excellent communication and computer skills.nnComfortable working closely with others in a stressful environment.nnBilingual, Spanish and English, ability to work independently, Familiarity with database and case notingnnJob Requirements
