Join our team in the heavy metal manufacturing industry at our Wisconsin site, where you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of all equipment, facilities, and grounds. Lead a dedicated team of electricians and mechanics, ensuring top-notch performance, safety, and productivity while driving continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Assign Tasks : Lead Maintenance Technicians, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Coordinate Repairs and Maintenance : Collaborate with planners, purchasing, supervisors, and vendors to manage equipment repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Manage Preventive Maintenance : Review and oversee preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and check sheets, ensuring timely completion of required actions.
  • Documentation Compliance : Ensure repair and PM documentation is complete and meets departmental standards.
  • Monitor Equipment Efficiency : Track equipment uptime and efficiency, working with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct Safety Training : Provide safety training, inspect work areas and equipment, investigate accidents, and perform semi-annual performance reviews for team members.

Key Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise : Strong understanding of machines and tools, including their design, operation, repair, and upkeep.
  • Performance Evaluation : Ability to evaluate and track performance, identifying areas for improvement or corrective action.
  • Technical Proficiency : Skilled in hydraulics, mechanics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge : Understanding of raw materials, production workflows, quality control, and cost management to enhance manufacturing and distribution efficiency.
  • Leadership Experience : Prior experience in maintenance leadership is required.
