Summary:

The primary role of a Logistics Specialist is to coordinate and streamline the movement of materials and work within or between departments to ensure alignment with production schedules. This position involves managing and distributing production, work, and shipping schedules, while also generating reports related to inventory levels, costs, and other operational metrics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and approve documents, materials, and products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Analyze production schedules, work orders, and staffing plans to determine material and personnel needs, as well as establish priorities.
• Collaborate with department supervisors and staff to monitor progress and identify necessary adjustments.
• Adjust production schedules as needed in response to design changes, material or labor shortages, or other disruptions.
• Distribute updated production schedules and work orders across departments to ensure alignment.
• Liaise with internal teams, vendors, and customers to coordinate production and shipping timelines, address issues, and prevent delays.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of related experience in logistics or a similar field required.
