The Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all related activities to the movement, storage, and distribution of goods within our New Jersey operations, including, but not limited, customer satisfaction, safety, KPIs, cost reduction, continuous improvements, and employee development and engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the warehouse team to ensure customer service, safety, inventory accuracy, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Oversee, coordinate, and execute the daily warehouse receiving, storage, and shipping activities while managing the distribution of goods from warehouse to customers.
- Ensure on-time and error-free orders fulfillment while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity, maintaining high quality standards and meeting customers’ specifications.
- Maintain warehouse and material handling equipment ensuring preventive maintenance is performed as per schedule.
- Work with Inventory Specialist to maintain bins replenishment process as well as daily cycle counts.
- Ensure employees are successfully trained to carry out their job requirements and ensure their performances are as expected.
- Motivate, support, and provide guidance to all department team members, ensuring all safety regulations and Stauff standards are met to maintain an accident -free workplace.
- Continuously review and improve warehouse processes to eliminate waste, reduce cost, implementation of 5S, and enhance safety.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions while ensuring broad understanding within warehouse staff.
- Troubleshoot quality non-conformances and ensure processes are revised to prevent re-occurrence while complying with ISO9001:2015 regulations and procedures.

- Clear understanding of general OSHA safety guidelines for warehouse management.
- Clear knowledge of legal requirements related to distribution and transportation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to focus on efficiency and productivity with a drive for accurate results.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required. A degree in Business or Supply Chain is a plus.
- A certification in CPIM, CSCP, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma is a plus.
- Previous supervisory / leadership experience required.
- Minimum of 5 (+) years previous warehouse / shipping experience required.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as solid math proficiency required
- Previous experience with SAP (ERP system) is a plus.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time – Frequently.
- Physically able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds – Occasionally.
- Bending and twisting – Occasionally.
- Use of close vision – Frequently.
- Use hands/fingers to reach, handle, and feel – Frequently.
