Job Description
n
Under the general supervision of the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent oversees every aspect of the electrical systems on the mine site, and is responsible for their repair and maintenance.
n
Job Responsibilities
n
n- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair AC/DC drive systems, AC/DC motors, electrical shovel, electrical power distribution, protection systems, metering, PLC's, and lighting systems.
n- Moving, hauling, and lifting equipment as required by the repair or maintenance being performed.
n- Learn to order parts, and specify certain parts when ordering, and complete appropriate paperwork.
n- Train for higher levels of responsibility.
n- Responsible to manage the RMGC Environmental Health and Safety Management system in his/her areas of responsibility.
n- Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
n- Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
n- Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
n- Works without risk or harm to self and others.
n- Punctuality and regular attendance required.
n- Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.

Education and Experience
n
n- Knowledge of electronics and electrical power.
n- Be constantly aware of personal safety. The incumbent must understand what actions can lead to dangerous reactions and know the proper steps to take in order to perform each job safely.
n- Capable of lifting and hauling equipment necessary to complete each job.
n- Be able to accurately complete appropriate paperwork associated with ordering parts.
n- Electrical background required; either a college or technical degree or Journeyman.
n- Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors in a general industrial environment. The incumbent may be asked to work straight days or shiftwork with overtime as needed. Appropriate PPE must be worn at all times.
n- Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
n- General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations.
n- Working knowledge and skill with P.C. utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
n- Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
n- Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team.
n- Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills.
n- Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
n- Requires valid driver's license.
n
