Make an impact by advancing the Department of Defense’s mission to keep our country safe and secure.nnJOB DESCRIPTIONnnThe Pegasus program is a collaborative coalition partnership between the Five Eyes (FVEY) military nations that consists of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and the United States. The program’s objective is to provide a wide array of information sharing capabilities (email, phone, video, and chat) to enable a variety of contact options for FVEY coalition warfighters promoting consistent and seamless collaboration opportunities at both a national and international level.nnWe are seeking qualified candidates to operate and maintain Pegasus, which directly support US military forces and US Coalition members with critical war planning and warfighting capabilities. The Pegasus team will test, deploy, operate, sustain, and maintain all Pegasus networks, services, and applications.nnResponsibilities:nnIdentifies, analyzes, and resolves network incidents and problems.nnDetermines network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.nnKnowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment associated with the program.nnAnalyzes, administers, and maintains voice, video, and/or data communications networks.nnManages the usage and performance of voice, video and/or data communications networks.nnMaintains network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements.nnUtilizes IT Service Management (ITSM) Principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.nnMaintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.nnParticipates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.nnInterfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.nnAssists with development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure.nnParticipates in special projects as assigned.nnProvides network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.nnQualificationsnnRequired Qualifications:nn3+ years of related Network Administration experience.nnMust possess and maintain a SECRET Clearance.nnBA/BS degree – may substitute additional years of experience.nnMust possess a completed CCNA certification.nnMust meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges. Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.nnKnowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, VLANs, Port Security, etc.)nnKnowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware featuresnnAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work.nnExperience working directly with hardware vendors involved in the incident resolution process.nnProvides Tier II support for problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.nnSupports the timely escalation and communication of status to external and internal customers.nnExperience with various software systems and architectures, communications protocols: and network hardware devices.nnExperience with STIG patching, compliance and other security activitiesnnExcellent verbal and written communication skillsnnMust possess a high degree of intelligence, competence, maturity, adaptability, resilience, integrity and initiativennThe work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.nnMust be willing to work shift work.nnPreferred Qualifications:nnKnowledge and experience with VoIP/VTC collaboration systemsnnKnowledge and experience with HAIPE-based encryption devicesnnKnowledge and experience with Multicast and GRE RoutingnnKnowledge and experience with encryption devices (ie. KG-175, KG-250 and KG-255)innKnowledge of Virtualization technologies as they apply to networking: VMware, Citrix, and MicrosoftnnKnowledge and experience with data center networkingnnExperience with firewalls and firewall rule setsnnUnderstanding of network virtualizationnnITIL V4 Foundation CertificationnnThe likely salary range for this position is $88,275 - $102,350. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
