Know Your Rights: are seeking aCT Technologist (PRN),sometimes referred to as a Radiologic Technologist II (Rad Tech) at Southern Regional Medical Center (Riverdale, GA) a member of Prime Healthcare. As a CT Technologist you will specialize and be responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN.nnShift Available: VariablennEmployment Type:Per Diem($2.50 to $6 diff in pay)nnShift Hours:Variednn** To perform duties in this position you must be CT certified and certified in one other modality.nnEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):nnprepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may havennoperate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all timesnnmonitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedurennassist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain proceduresnnaccountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate imagesnnresponsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygienennparticipate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs (PIP)nnmaintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)nnQualificationsnnEducation and Work Experiencennone year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferrednnknowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is requirednnextensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is requirednngraduate of a program accredited by JRCERTnnradiology license as required by Statenneffective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is requirednnmust maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hirennproficient computer skillsnn#LI-JJ3nnConnect With Us!
