Title: Account Payable Clerk (SAP, COUPA)nnLocation: New York, NY 10036/Hybrid rolennDuration: 2 Months contractnnIn-Office days Mon. – ThursnnNotes:nnClient will be processing a high volume of invoices related to expenses for theatrical productions.nnSAP and Excel experience a big plus, as is any experience with sales tax.nnWill also be troubleshooting and dealing with vendors at times.nnDescription/Comment:nnAs an Accounts Payable Professional for Theatrical Group, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process from invoice receipts to payments and resolving unpaid invoices issues.nnThe ideal candidate will be detailed oriented, ensure that payments are processed with accuracy and in a timely manner.nnReview, code and process invoices and purchase orders to ensure all purchasing/procurement transactions move smoothly through the AP system.nnEnsure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.nnVerify approvals and coding on invoices prior to processing for payment.nnReview and process expense reimbursement for DTG company members and ensure that payments are processed on a weekly basis.nnCoordinate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.nnEnsure all AP documentations are attached to invoices and electronically maintained in accordance with company policies procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.nnReview and reconcile vendor statements and inquiries to ensure all payments are up to date and resolved.nnBuild and maintain vendor relationships and assist in new vendor set up process when necessary.nnStay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices related to accounts payable.nnObtain thorough understanding of current procurement/purchasing policies and procedures and accounting systems.nnCreate purchase orders in SAP and or CoupannResearch and resolve any variances and vendor inquiries.nnWork with Site Sustainment/SAP team to resolve vendor setup or payment issues.nnReview invoices for sales taxes due and our sales tax exemption and report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.nnDisburse petty cash by recording journal entries and verifying documentation.nnMaintain up to date supplier information, W9’s and 1099 eligibility.nnWork with compliance group to issue annual 1099’s.nnAssist production accountants with ad hoc projects such as compiling documentation for internal and external audits as needed.nnAssist with quarter-end closing activities related to accounts payable.nnRecord any necessary journal entries in SAP.nnBecome subject matter experts in SAP and COUPA and train and aid other DTG casual buyers.nnBasic Qualifications:nnProven experience in accounts payable; or a related role, preferably in a production accounting or entertainment environmentnnAbility to process a high volume of invoices with high accuracy.nnStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with diligence and accuracy.nnEffective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.nnAbility to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently.nnDemonstrated ability to learn the latest programs, applications, processes and provide process improvement ideas.nnAdhere to quarter-close deadlines.nnGreat organizational and time management skills while paying attention to details.nnExperience in SAP and COUPA.nnCommitment to actively being part of and supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace.nnPreferred QualificationsnnAccounting degree or relevant coursework in accounting preferrednnExperience with process improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices preferred.nnKnowledge of sales and use tax regulations and 1099 reporting requirements is a plus.nnAbout US Tech Solutions:nnUS Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
