JOB REQUIREMENTS: NSC Technologies is actively seeking skilled Marine Painters for an exciting upcoming project in Jacksonville, FL We are looking for candidates with 2-10 years of experience with solid working knowledge of shipboard and industrial/commercial practices, especially on military bases and industrial facilities. Journeyperson 4 (Marine Painter) Qualifications: Must meet all requirements for Journeyperson Marine Painter 3. Ability to set up jobs and spraying equipment. Proficient in measuring and recording DFT and environmental readings. Skilled in brush and rolling painting, general housekeeping, and gas-free pumping procedures. Capable of overseeing a small team. Ability to troubleshoot equipment to ensure job progression. Proficient in NAVSEA 009-32 standard item requirements. Journeyperson 3 (Marine Painter) Qualifications: Must meet all requirements for Journeyperson Marine Painter 2. Knowledge of mixing and applying epoxy and enamel paints. Ability to complete tasks within the appropriate time frame without supervision. Proficient in reading job specifications and executing them accordingly. Understanding of NAVSEA 009-32 standard item requirements. Journeyperson 2 (Marine Painter) Qualifications: Must meet all requirements for Journeyperson Marine Painter 1. Proficient in using power tools for surface preparation and paint removal. Knowledgeable in brushing and rolling techniques. Familiarity with surface preparation standards (SSPC-SP-1, SP-2, SP-3, SP-5, SP-6, SP-10, SP-11, SP-12). Understanding of marine paints, safety data sheets, and NAVSEA 718 product data sheets. Knowledge of critical vs. non-critical coated systems and paint induction times. Some experience in spray painting or gas-free pumping procedures. May hold two or more of the following SSPC certifications: C7, C12, C13, or C14. Ability to work in confined spaces. Understanding of NAVSEA Standard Item 009-32 requirements. Journeyperson 1 (Marine Painter) Qualifications: Must be SSPC certified in preservation (C7, C12, C13, or C14) or Coast Guard certified in pumping. Strong housekeeping skills. Knowledge of proper care and storage of hand tools. Ability to perform work safely. Basic knowledge of power tool cleaning or gas-free pumping procedures.
