Job Description A community bank is confidentially looking to add another member to their banking family. They are seeking a manager to oversee their Consumer Collections team. This individual would be responsible for managing the organization's bankruptcy processes and portfolios.

Responsibilities: - Manages the organization's commercial loan collection/recovery functions.
- Oversees the work of the team responsible for contacting owners for defaulted commercial loans to secure payment or negotiate settlements.
- Has some approval authority for repayment plans or settlements. Other amounts would need to be approved by CCO or Criticized Assets Committee.
- Must ensure all employees follow OVBC policies and procedures.
- Has some approval authority to initiate foreclosure.
- Ensures collection/recovery activities are in compliance with policies and procedures, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
- Work with customers and other bank staff to restructure underperforming loans and reduce charge offs (Loan Workout).
- Responsible for managing the organization's bankruptcy processes and portfolio.
- Works attorneys, agencies or other lien holders to represent the organization's interests.
- Monitors calls and intervenes in complex or heated exchanges.
- Producing daily production reports, reading and interpreting the data and the ability to make adjustments based off the data.
- Minimize risk and risk to the organization and approve responses to inquiries regarding the bankruptcy process.
- Completing department quality reviews, providing feedback to staff and leadership team.
- Coaching and mentoring of staff members, such as Loan Collection/Recovery Representatives, Administrative Assistants and Bankruptcy Specialists.
- Will have authority for personnel decisions such as hiring, performance enhancement, or disciplinary action.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 6-10 years’ experience with managing teams.
- Experience with underwriting, credit analysis and collections.
- Ability to identify process deficiencies and implement process improvements to resolve issues.
- The ability to work accurately and independently.
- Ability to travel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong time and people management skills.
- Ability to multitask.
