Job Summary:
They are seeking a dynamic proposal manager to join their team and play a key role in winning business within the utility sector. You will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, estimating and product management teams to develop competitive, profitable bids that meet our clients' requirements and deadlines while adhering to industry standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. This is not your typical desk job?you?ll be the vital bridge between our customers and our internal teams, ensuring each proposal is tailored to perfection.
Job Duties:
? Review Request for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure alignment with company capabilities and compliance with applicable industry standards.
? Manage the proposal process from start to submission, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of proposals.
? Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, estimating, engineering and product management, to gather necessary proposal information.
? Ensure that pricing and cost estimates are accurate and reflect the scope of work outlined in the proposal.
? Partner with sales and product management to develop accurate, competitive pricing strategies for bids that drive business growth.
? Coordinate document preparation, format proposals, and ensure adherence to company branding guidelines.
Location: Houston, Texas. Remote Work: 20%. Travel Percentage: 10%.
Salary: Full-Time Wage Range $25-$30 per hour plus benefits (annual salary is up to $61,950 + OT)
? Be the liaison between outside sales teams and customers, building strong relationships and providing outstanding service.
? Occasionally present proposals to clients, showcasing our expertise and solutions.
? Maintain proposal records and documentation, tracking status and outcomes of submitted proposals.
? Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field required
? Three plus years of experience in proposal development, administration within an electrical manufacturing environment required
? Two or more years of experience with utility customers required
? Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and ability to manage multiple deadlines required
? A strong attention to detail, with the ability to stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment required
? Familiarity with ERP systems required
? Familiarity with Salesforce system required
? Ability to read specs and reviewing electrical drawings required
? Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required
? Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks required
? Ability to lift, push, and pull objects and perform physical tasks required
