Summary

The Freeman Company is searching for the next great talented problem-solver in an Sr. Manager, HR Compliance and Global Mobility to build and augment our HR compliance function. Under the umbrella of HR Shared Services, the Sr. Manager, HR Compliance and Global Mobility will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and vision of HR compliance and global mobility with enthusiasm and passion to bring big ideas to life. This role will establish organizational goals, partnering collaboratively with key stakeholders within the broader HR organization and business leaders. This position will work collaboratively with process owners and other organizational stakeholders to ensure proper alignment is in place for compliance with both internal and external policies and processes, while meeting the strategic and operational needs of the business.



This position will support our Human Resources team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be located in Dallas, TX; however, we are also open to candidates based out of:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Controls and Compliance

  • Oversee the review, tracking, and communication of Affirmative Action Plans (AAP).
  • Gather, audit, and deliver EEO and other HR data for government reporting (EEO-1, CA Pay Data Report, VETS-4212, pay equity reports, etc.).
  • Partner with Legal and HR COEs to draft, implement, and monitor HR policies and programs in line with global laws and regulations (FLSA, EEOC, GDPR, etc.).
  • Monitor federal and state employment regulations and ensure timely submissions of statutory government reports.
  • Create internal data compliance audits, draft audit reports detailing methodology, results, and remediation plans.
  • Develop internal guidelines, procedures, and communication for compliance programs.
  • Serve as a key contributor on global HR policy and process for equal employment, pay transparency, affirmative action, and government reporting.

 

Immigration

  • Act as subject matter expert for global mobility topics in partnership with outside immigration counsel.
  • Manage the internal process for permanent residency requirements and immigration status petitions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for candidates and employees relocating for business purposes.
  • Track and monitor critical deadlines and maintain accurate immigration records and data.
  • Oversee day-to-day communications for the Freeman’s immigration programs and collaborate on program design, development, and training.
  • Advise on best practices related to mobility and non-US immigration sponsorship processes.

 

Records Information Management

  • Develop and implement policy and program guidance, records retention schedules, and procedures for HR records management.
  • Manage document dissemination to authorized employees, managers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to increase compliance with records management expectations.
  • Oversee personnel file management, including regular auditing and reporting.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Records and Information Management compliance standards.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Records and Information Management regulations or policies.
  • Facilitate information destruction processes and promote a culture of information handling.
  • Oversee audit and operational support for information handling activities, including records storage, data mapping, and compliance assessments.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited university or college with relevant work experience is required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ federal affirmative action, equal employment, or related experience.
  • Technology Skills - Highly proficient working in Excel, PowerPoint, and analyzing large amounts of data, and developing reports. Knowledge of SuccessFactors or other HCMS is a plus.
  • Compliance Skills- Experience managing or supporting EEO and OFCCP or related compliance programs, understanding of Data Privacy and GDPR regulations. Proficient in designing and implementing scalable compliance-related processes and programs.
  • Analytical Skills - Synthesizes complex or diverse information using intuition, research and experience to complement data provided. Reviews & analyzes a wide variety of information and recommends a specific course of action.
  • Business Acumen – Understands the business implications of decisions. Aligns team's work to support strategic goals and initiatives. Sets goals and manages priorities and expectations.
