And what will you do?

Summary:

The National Sales Director is an individual contributor responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy across all regions or national markets to achieve the company's revenue targets. This role is responsible for consistent performance and growth in all regions.

Core Functions:
  • Follows the CSMI sales process with current customers and potential customer prospects for the company.
  • Secures business, transferring to territory sales team after onboarding.
  • Utilizes the CRM in all aspects of the sales process according to Central States standards.
  • Acts as CSMI's primary liaison with key decision makers at National Accounts in order to satisfy those customers' needs, exercising discretion and independent judgment in the process.
  • Collaborates with Sales Director's and Managing Director's when needed to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Acts as project manager for all change control requests for assigned accounts or prospects.
  • Prepares and manage the national customer sales budget and forecast ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitors sales metrics (KPI's), analyzes financial reports and ensures profitability while maximizing revenue.
  • Manages customer rebate agreements for the company.
  • Applies and develops professional sales skills and ability to sell consultatively.
  • Has or can develop an understanding of the metal building business.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
  • Involved in the credit and account establishment processes for new customers.


Key Measures of Success:
• Developing consistent new business each year.
• Handle all escalated issues autonomously from assigned accounts.
• Ability to create presentations for customers using Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze data using Microsoft Excel.

Education & Experience:

Minimum Required:
• 10+ years of outside sales experience.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in relative field
• Experience managing project timelines and resourcing.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically. The work is primarily sedentary. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and in a non-temperature-controlled environment. While performing the core function of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, and required to lift to 35 lbs.
