Responsibilities & Qualifications

Due to growth, we are hiring a Regional Human Resources Manager for our start-up plant in Pittsburg, CA.

PAY RANGE: $85K - $105K + Bonus

*Relocation Assistance may be available within CA

Schedule: Monday - Friday

The Human Resources Manager will support multiple locations in the Northwest region, including Pittsburg, Gilroy, and Hayward, CA; Seattle, WA; Denver and Colorado Springs, CO (Food & Beverage.)

General HR Responsibilities:
  • Has field oversight for 6 plants/depots initially, as a Human Resources Business Partner
  • Completes on-site location reports and provides feedback and advice to the upper management team regarding HR issues presented by employees, and offers solutions
  • Serve as liaison between associates and location management; address and resolve concerns in the company as they arise, while demonstrating a high level of visibility and accessibility in the plants, reinforcing the company's open-door policy
  • Work with managers and employees to resolve diverse employee relations issues such as harassment, discrimination, etc.
  • Supports organizational change by seeking and developing ways for the plants to be most effective
  • Monitors documents used to evaluate, correct and enhance job performance and other workplace behaviors (PIP's and Corrective Action Plans), assuring overall fairness and consistency, and meeting business requirements
  • Provides coaching and consulting to managers in order to enhance their people and performance management skills

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Process location Unemployment Compensation paperwork
  • Coordinate and execute employee engagement activities and maintain the local Community Giving program; create and present quarterly meetings to keep the team updated on the progress of the program
  • Serve as a mentor to location HR Generalists, offer training and advice on HR related duties and compliance
  • Metrics reporting; headcount, turnover and other reports on an as-needed basis

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 6+ years of HR management experience preferred; 1-2 years of HR leadership experience required;
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel 40%
  • Proficient with ATS systems (ICIMS preferred) and HRIS software (e.g., ADP, Dayforce); ability to quickly learn new HR and talent management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
