JOB TITLE: Facilities Manager (Full-Time)

JOB DETAILS: Under the direction of the Vice President of Facilities Management, the Facilities Manager directs and manages the overall maintenance of five Camillus-owned and/or operated properties. This position supervises a team of personnel skilled in trade and maintenance general technicians. The Facility Manager ensures that facilities are structurally sound, operationally efficient, well maintained, and safe. The Facilities Manager assists the VP of Facilities Management in developing long-range plans for upgrading mechanical and electrical equipment and develops, documents, and administers preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical and electrical equipment.

Salary (Paid in US Dollars)

$38.50 hourly

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and practice the mission of Camillus House.
• Education: High school diploma, technical certifications, and other training to support the position responsibilities.
• Language: Proficiency in oral and written English required; Spanish preferred and other languages a plus (i.e. Creole).
• Skills: Computer literacy required (Word, Excel, other data entry programs)

Requirements

Successful completion of Toxicology test, L2 fingerprints, local background screening, and OIG reference check.

Valid FL Driver License

Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Commitment to the Values and Mission of the Brothers of St. John of God as witnessed through Camillus House and Health in serving the needs of the underserved populations.
• Responsibility: Plans and directs the accomplishment of maintenance projects, placing particular emphasis on maximizing the proper use of funds assigned to the department and facilities.
• Provides technical guidance and ensures compliance with safety and health procedures and applicable agency regulations such as OSHA, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
• Ensure that all the Camillus House facilities are in correct code compliance.
• Interprets building and equipment specifications, blueprints, and job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
• Develop and implement policies and building standards. Maintain and update policies, procedures, and handbooks per Federal, State, County and City regulations.
• Coordinates delegates and assists with remodels, refurbishing and repair of interior building spaces.
• Performs and monitors regular inspections of facilities.
• Conducts or arranges for worker training in safety, repair and maintenance techniques, operational procedures and equipment use.
• Coordinates, delegates and or assist with regular maintenance and upkeep of outside areas, including lawns, landscape beds, playgrounds, and parking lots, to keep areas clean, neat, safe, and organized.
• Monitors work areas and examine tools and equipment to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules.
• Determines schedules, sequences and assignments for work activities based on work priority.
• Recommends and initiates personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures, according with the Camillus House Policies and Procedures.
• Monitors facilities staff work levels and reviews work performance.
• Ensures that facilities staff work closely with and maintain good working relations with employees in all areas, as well as with contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
