Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, the Communications Specialist will be responsible for creating and editing marketing and communications collateral that effectively communicates the organization's story, programs, and partnerships. Salary Range: $78,480 to $87,196.00 annually commensurate with experience.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Annual Impact Report: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and produce the organization's annual impact report, showcasing key achievements, outcomes, and stories of impact.
- Social Media Production and Management: Develop and implement social media strategies to increase the organization's online presence and engagement. Create, schedule, and publish compelling content for various social media platforms, monitor performance metrics, and optimize content based on insights.
- Editorial Calendar Management: Maintain and update the organization's editorial calendar, ensuring alignment with key messaging priorities, events, and campaigns. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather content and ensure timely publication.
- Content Creation and Curation: Source and create engaging multimedia content, including but not limited to articles, blog posts, infographics, videos, and photos, that highlight the organization's programs, initiatives, and partners.
- Cross-Organizational Collaboration and Support: Work closely with Communications, Marketing, Media Relations, HR and Development team members to ensure that all aspects of the brand voice and program areas are represented across internal and external communications.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and compelling narratives.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms to track and measure performance.
- Experience with graphic design, video editing, and/or multimedia content creation tools is a plus (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Event planning and logistics experience is a plus.

Education/Experience - Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in the nonprofit or public health sector.
