Portfolio Manager – Elmwood Park, NJ

FinTrust Connect is excited to announce that we have partnered with a well-capitalized regional bank in search of an experienced C&I Portfolio Manager. This candidate will be responsible to help providing ongoing credit oversight and portfolio management of the C&I loans through annual reviews, and monitoring of covenant compliance.

  • Workplace (On-site, Hybrid, Remote): Hybrid (4 in office/1 at home) in Elmwood Park, NJ.


  • Function: Take on full account management responsibility for C&I loans and provide ongoing credit oversight and portfolio management through annual reviews, monitoring of covenant compliance, and the creation and maintenance of “Watch List” credits.


Requirements:

  • College degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing significant C&I loans (above $5M-7.5M)
  • Formal credit training
  • Excellent underwriting knowledge, specifically in non-small business lending environments


Description:

  • Assume full account management responsibility for C&I loans.
  • Interact with Loan Officers, Borrowers or CPAs to obtain necessary financial information required to complete annual reviews.
  • Consult with customers regarding their financial performance trends and pro-actively anticipate and manage deteriorating credits.
  • Negotiate and recommend for approval, financial covenant waivers and loan modifications.
  • Manage and track borrowing bases, A/R Aging, etc.
  • Manage portfolio risk on a forward and proactive basis with respect to economic and industry trends, borrower concentrations, industry concentrations, likelihood of default and loss and criticized and classified loan migration.
  • Recommend specific action plans upon identifying increased borrower credit risk to mitigate non-performing / non-accrual loan status.
  • Daily monitoring of all overdrafts for C&I relationships.
  • Order appraisals, flood searches, and credit reports.
  • Assist SVP Director of Portfolio Management with monthly reporting as required.
