Are you currently a Maintenance Manager with Hands-on experience in a Wood Industrial manufacturing setting with strong supervisory skills? WE NEED YOU!
As the Maintenance Manager, your goals will be to implement maintenance preventative and predictive programs, lead a safety conscious team of mechanics & contractors, help meet quality standards with equipment maintenance, and meet budget objectives for parts & labor. You’ll also manage your department’s Health & Safety training, staffing, equipment needs, labor and job scheduling, and employee relations.
As the Maintenance Manager, you’ll focus on:
- Assist maintenance planning and reliability maintenance with CMMS
- Monitor and improve processes, procedures, and equipment to eliminate safety hazards lowering risks, with a goal of achieving a zero OSHA recordable case rate
- Develop and implement maintenance training strategies to grow and develop the maintenance staff
- Maintain a high level of internal control over the maintenance processes and implement controls where needed to manage the maintenance spend
- Develop and implement an overall Maintenance Strategy and work with Reliability to increase equipment uptime & decrease unprofitable downtime.
Minimum requirements for this Maintenance Manager’s position:
- Minimum 5 years’ of progressive responsibility working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience in wood manufacturing
- Minimum 3 years’ of supervisory experience, including conducting personnel reviews, hiring and firing
- Experience with safety, training and scheduling
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, CMMS programs
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and the tools associated with failure detection such as vibration analysis, oil monitoring, thermography and the softwares
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and aptitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
