Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover and improve their physical mobility, strength, and overall function. The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and have a strong commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and functionality.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, massage, and other interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Monitor patients' progress and report any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to continue at home.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including treatment sessions and progress notes.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist in scheduling and managing patient appointments as needed.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to provide holistic and patient-centered care.
Qualifications: - Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Previous experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is a plus.
