Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Buyer to support multiple distribution centers for service levels and industry turns! The candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for their teams and promote execution and planning throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute processes to guide collaborative team of forecast to support stores and warehouses
- Work with different divisions of the company to ensure a single view of demand forecast to be utilized by internal and external teams
- Work with vendors and brokers in a cost-effective manner to meet company established turnover and targets
- Ensure all vendors are aware of expectations on procedures, communication and performance
- Drive relationships with efficiency program teams to reinforce best practices and execution of programs
- Stay informed on category trends, commodity or other supplier issues that impact sales
- Anticipate and act on supplier issues, seasonal changes, natural disasters etc to protect sales and goals
- Drive a culture of process and continuous improvement and communicate the team’s effectiveness to senior management
- Responsible and accountable for managing associates and how decision making affects over all supply chain operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2-5 years experience
- Store operations experience preferred
- Provide leadership for a team within a department
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Executive level presentation skills
- Negotiation and persuasion skills
