Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for leading the integration of non-centralized procurement areas into a centralized procurement model. Target areas include Indirect Services, Human Resources, Information Technology, Premiums, and Research & Development—functions where procurement has historically had minimal engagement.

• Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies in collaboration with senior stakeholders and consultants.
• Build alignment across internal teams and with VP-level stakeholders to create a framework for category management in multiple spend areas, potentially ranging from $600M to $1B.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for newly integrated areas within the centralized model.
• Collaborate with external consultants and senior leaders to align on cost-saving initiatives and engage in key projects.
• Negotiate complex contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related hard science discipline.
• Extensive procurement and business experience, including category management in Direct Materials and Indirect Services.
• Strong procurement skills with expertise in stakeholder engagement, complex contract negotiation, influencing without authority, and building trust quickly.
• Strong communication, change management, and project management skills.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, with a proven track record of leading improvements in category management.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).

Preferred:

• Experience in technology contracting.
