This is for ourfull time, part time and per diemopportunities.nnPhysical Therapist Position Overview:nnPhysical Therapy team members assist with ensuring the health and well-being of individuals by providing comprehensive and quality therapy services. This position is responsible for administering skilled physical therapy treatments ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. State specific Physical Therapy license is required.nnResponsibilitiesnnPhysical Therapist:nnInitiates skilled physical therapy treatments in accordance with physician’s orders; maintains required contact with physician.nnMaintains written evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries for individuals in physical therapy program.nnConfers with other health care staff regarding special needs of individuals to enhance rehabilitation or maintenance of function.nnProvides input for meetings and attends during absences of the Director Physical Therapy.nnMaintains statistical records of individuals’ treatments.nnAssists with in-service training programs upon request.nnRecords and updates individual’s plan of care in the Inter-disciplinary Kardex.nnSubmits requisition for supplies needed in the treatment to Director Physical Therapy.nnAssumes all duties of the Director Physical Therapy during absences including supervision of Physical Therapy Aides and responsibility for all necessary documentation.nnQualificationsnnPhysicalTherapist :nnGraduation from an approved school of physical therapy required.nnState license to practice physical therapy required.nnTwo years’ experience in physical therapy preferred.nnAbility to direct others necessary.nnThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
