We value effective communication and honesty and believe teamwork based on mutual respect is key to success.nnJOB SUMMARYnnAs a CT Technologist at Sheridan Memorial Hospital you will play a critical role in our commitment to providing accurate diagnostic imaging services while maintaining a patient-centered approach. Your responsibilities will include operating CT (computed tomography) equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESnnPerform CT imaging procedures according to established protocols and physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.nnObtain patient medical history and verify patient identification and consent prior to performing procedures.nnPosition patients correctly and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images of the appropriate anatomy.nnMonitor patients during imaging procedures and address any adverse reactions or complications.nnPerforms all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.nnEnsures equipment and supplies are ready for use for all procedures, including room cleanliness and stocking.nnPractices medical and surgical aseptic techniques.nnProvides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including pediatric, geriatric and general population.nnMaintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.nnCollaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret imaging results.nnAdhere to all regulatory guidelines and safety protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.nnMaintain CT equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality control. Report any errors to the service engineer.nnParticipate in continuous education and training to stay current with advancements in imaging technology and best practices.nnWillingness to complete x-ray imaging.nnMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education / Experience / License and CertificationsnnCompletion of an accredited radiology technology program, required.nnCurrent certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.nnCurrent State of Wyoming Radiologic Technologist License, required.nnBasic Life Support (BLS) certification, required.nnExperience working as a CT Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferred.nnProficiency in operating CT equipment and other imaging technology, preferred.nnAdditional certifications or specialized training in CT imaging, preferred.nnDepartment Specific Education / Experience / License and CertificationsnnStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.nnAttention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.nnFlexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.nnAdditional SkillsnnWorking knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.nnKnowledge of general anatomy and physiology.nnAbility to read and communicate effectively in English.nnAdditional languages preferred.nnBasic computer knowledge.nnSpecific demands not listed: Possible exposure to blood and or body fluids / infectious disease / hazardous waste requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
