POSITION PROFILEnnResponsible for an efficient and quality pick-up, relocation, and delivery, of office equipment in a safe manner. Installation and networking of gear may be necessary during overall delivery to customer. The quality and professionalism in which driver conducts himself can have a direct impact on future customer purchase decisions. Driver to provide basic training on the device(s) being delivered. Position requires all federal DOT requirements be met. Meet all Delivery Safety StandardsnnJob Duties and Responsibilitiesnn· Ensures equipment is safely delivered to the correct location.nn· Maintains log books in accordance with DOT regulations (Electronic or manual)nn· Responsible for pre and post trip reviews and ensures that his/her vehicle van/truck is safe and clean to operate and is compliant with all DOT and state lawsnn· Performing pick-up of product at same time as delivery, thus minimizing costsnn· Performs basic connected installations, such as the ability to setting up IP addresses, downloading print drivers, remove hard drivers when required, back-up and upload customer's existing address book, and provide basic customer training on printing standalone and network devicesnn· Participation in Safety Programs.nn· Pre-calling customers when applicable.nn· Achieves expected productivity levels associated with assigned workload and level of experiencenn· Demonstrates good technical skillsnn· Demonstrates excellent customer relation skills.nn· Identifies customer's needs and determines appropriate action; refers calls to appropriate party.nn· Provides constructive feedback to service and process team regarding networking and installation initiativesnn· Provides basic customer training on printing standalone and network devices.nn· Completes technical training on new equipment as requirednn· Maintain professional appearance in driver uniformnn· Contacts the Dispatch and/or service department if technician is needed.nn· Ensures equipment is configured to the Bill of Lading, traveler or other documentation provided.nn· Ensures equipment is properly loaded and secured in the boxed van/truck.nn· Use of phone to capture electronic customer signature upon completion of scheduled transactions.nn· Ensures all paperwork is signed and properly processed, as required.nn· Loading/ Off-loading trucks may apply.nn· Helps train new Delivery Drivers on new products & proper loading, where applicable.nn· Follows all accident/incident reporting guidelines and proceduresnn· Conducts cycle counts and inventory reconciliation when required.nn· Reconcile inventory at the end of the day based on route completion and report discrepancies.nn· Meets appropriate productivity/quality standards relative to assigned job responsibility as outlined by manager.nn· Responsible for an inventory value of up to $1,000,000.nn· Overnight stays may be required.nn· Operation and use of warehouse equipment, i.e., forklift, stair climber, pallet jack, is required.nn· Performs other duties as assigned.nnQualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)nnRequired:nn· Safe driving record and Historynn· On line technical training focused on networking and installationnn· On the Job training with field technicians at customer location and or at Transfer Centernn· Eligibility to drive a commercial vehicle according to FMCSR regulations.nn· Must maintain valid driver's license in accordance with company policy.nn· Minimum two years of medium-duty truck driving experience is required.nn· Pass a road Testnn· Valid and current medical card is requirednn· Be at least 20 years of age, properly licensed in his or her current state of residence.nn· High school diploma or equivalent education is required.nn· Valid commercial driver's license is required if applicable per statenn· Ability to read maps and electronic GPSnn· Overnight stays may be required based on DOT regulations or Peak Periods.nnKNOWLEDGE, Skills And Abilitiesnn· Must be able to physically handle oversized and overweight equipment.nn· Identification of at-risk behaviors and have the ability to make quick corrections.nn· Strong Customer Presentation and Communication Skills.nn· Familiarity utilizing and learning smart phones and/or tablets with hand held electronic technology.nn· Basic computer skills.nn· Adequate technical skills to install/network equipmentnn· Possesses methodical approach to resolving problems that could arise during their day.nn· Must have adequate reading, math skill, and ability to write legibly.nn· May be required to be certified on operation and use of warehouse equipment, i.e., forklift, stair climber, etc.*nnWorking Conditions, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSnn· Working conditions could result in serious injuries if they don't follow appropriate lifting or moving procedures and/or the rules of the road.nn· Frequent stooping, bending, squatting and kneeling are required to service equipment at floor levelnn· Physical effort is required in the lifting of equipment weighing up to 100 pounds and the moving of equipment that may weigh up to 1000lbsnn· Work assignments are diversified.
