Hot Java Bar , located in The Grove entertainment district, is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender at Hot Java Bar, you will be responsible for crafting delicious cocktails, providing outstanding service to our guests, and contributing to a fun and energetic atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, including classics and specialty drinks
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all guests
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, alerting management when supplies are low
- Adhere to all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Assist in creating and updating the cocktail menu
- Engage with customers, making recommendations and answering questions about the menu
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure efficient and smooth operations
- Handle customer complaints and feedback in a professional manner
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required
Qualifications: - Previous bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume setting
- Strong knowledge of mixology and cocktail preparation
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Missouri
- Certification in bartending or mixology is a plus
