Role: CT Technologist I Location: Philadelphia, PA, 19104
Job Type: Contract Job Functions Essential Functions - Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations
- Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing.
- Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation
- Operate CT equipment and select technical factors
- Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.
- Document all related data.
- Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.
- Other Responsibilities
- Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
- Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.
- Resolve and escalate complex issues.
- Orient and train fellow staff technologists.
- Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations.
- Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.
- Other shifts as assigned
- All other duties as assigned
Skills - Basic knowledge of computed tomography imaging
- Basic knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
- Basic knowledge of radiology information systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills
Work Experience - Minimum of 3 years of experience is required essential.
- Pediatric experience required.
- EPIC experience required.
- Siemens experience required.
Education - High school Diploma/GED(Required)
- Technical Diploma Radiology Program(Required)
Certification - CPR certification from a hands on program
Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required
