n Our client is seeking a
Accounts Payable Clerk responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services.n
Salary/Hourly Rate:
n $23 - $26/hrn
Position Overview:
n This Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible with processing and monitoring payments and expenditures. The Accounts Payable Clerk will ensure that finances are accurate and up to date, and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.n
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk:

n - Invoice Processing
n - Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
n - Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
n - Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
n - Enter invoices for payment
n - Process backup reports after data entry
n - Manage the weekly cheque run
n - Record all cheques
n - Prepare vendor cheques for mailing
n - List all vendor cheques in the logbook
n - Prepare manual cheques as and when required
n - Maintain a filing system for all financial documents
n - Ensure the confidentiality and security of financial files
n - Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries or issues
n - Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
n - Respond to vendor inquiries regarding the status of invoices and payments
n - Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers
n - Provide supporting documentation for audits

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Clerk:
n
n - Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role
n - Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus
n - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
n - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
n - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education Requirements:

n - High School diploma or GED is required
n - Associates degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field is preferred
n
